RapidAPI Studio - Overview
Build, test, publish, and manage high-quality APIs.
Studio release
Studio is a relatively new product. Please contact support if you are having any feedback or problems.
For a list of known issues, please see Studio - Known Issues.
Among other things, Studio replaces the Provider Dashboard. If you are in the /studio link, you can switch back to the Provider Dashboard navigating to
[your Enterprise Hub URL]/provider
.
Studio is a tightly-integrated set of tools used used by an API provider to build, test, publish, and manage high-quality APIs. RapidAPI Studio especially excels at providing important tools for teams that build and maintain complex APIs of many types (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.).
Studio's primary tools include the following:
Requests - This is a team-based API request client. Teams can create groups of requests that can be easily parameterized for different environments and contexts. Groups of requests can reside in separate branches, enabling members of teams to do things like experiment with requests before adding them to the team's main branch. For more information on Requests in RapidAPI Studio, see API Requests - Overview.
RapidAPI Testing (Tests) - RapidAPI Testing enables you to easily convert your API requests into API tests. These tests can be used to verify the API contract (for example, an OAS document or GraphQL Schema) as you commit changes to your API. You can also use RapidAPI Testing to monitor your API, verifying that it continues to function properly over time. For more information on RapidAPI Testing, see API Testing - Overview.
Hub Listing - This enables you to do things like describe and define your API, invite developers and teams to consume your API, create API plans, and publish your API to the API Hub. For more information on Hub Listing, see Hub Listing - Overview.
Analytics - Once consumers start calling your API, you can use the insights provided to improve your API experience. Understand your API traffic by endpoint or consumer, monitor for errors, alert on latency spikes, and more. Analytics for API providers is available through the Analytics tab in RapidAPI Studio. For more information, see the analytics overview.
Settings - Used to transfer your API project to another user or to a team in which you are a member. Also used to delete the API project. For more information, see Studio - Settings.
My APIs Inbox - The My APIs Inbox is a single location for you to view all of the direct messages, discussions, and announcements to and from your API consumers. This location applies for all APIs in which you are a provider, whether you own the API in your personal account or own them as part of a team. For more information, see Studio - My APIs inbox.
